  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Ok I just looked at my cf character and noticed that beside it, there were two little people by it and so I put my pointer over to see what it was and it said that I had one son and one daughter! How did I get that up there!:D Oh well seeing as though I have no kiddies, I quickly removed it. Ok I will stop posting in this thread for tonight.:p

What I like about Thanksgiving is.....our family always ask people over to the house for a big thanksgiving day, we ask people who are alone, people who are married, people who we may have just meet, anyone who wants to come is welcome, its not just about our own family, it's about Gods Family. My husband passed away this year, but I am still alive. It's all about how you chose to look at it. I know I am Preaching...but God put just made me that way, so please do not think people are feeling sorry for you, they just what to help. You would be surprise how much better you feel after getting out and doing something different, even if it's for a few hours.

For thanksgiving, my children and I usually take women from the local domestic violence shelter to dinner and back at a local church. Most of them never have a ride there, so it is very rewarding to make sure they at least have a way to go if they want to. After my husband passed, there just needed to be new traditions for us that we never did before. This will be our 4th one this year.

Hi smiledaily! :) Yes, it was a good show. I didn't really intend to watch it, but I got sucked in. hehe. It was funny too. The big guy (Iron Chef with the pony tail) made cocktails for the judges and served them DURING the cooking time. That elicited a lot of jokes about bribes. :D

The courses looked yummy, from osso buco to ravioli to some sort of French toast/cranberry jam/goat cheese stack. Oh to be a judge! :yum:

So what TV shows does everyone here watch?

I'm about to "downsize" my tv watching, 'cause I'm moving to a place where there's no cable. My current roommate has it, but my new roommate doesn't. It's okay. I find that half the time I watch TV just to have something to do while eating. It's rarely great TV. And my sister records the shows I really want to watch, so I can go to her place and do some serious TV viewing. ;)

Happy 48th Birthday, MMXII!!

I like TV, but don't watch it too much. Gilmore Girls is a must, as is House, lol, and I like the dynamics in Brothers & Sisters, really like Amazing Race, 24 and The Apprentice. And yep, when my daughter's around, we watch a lot of the food network.
