Hey Seeking1! I am doing good. Went back to bed, caught a few extra z's...got warm...now I am all nice and bundled up ready to go out and do some stuff with hubby. He is off today and goes in tomorrow. The next 9 weeks or so are going to be rough. Won't get to see much of him with work. THAT is going to be hard.

What shift will he have? I already was out and about and it was CHILLY!!! I hate to wear my 'really winter' jacket yet - but if this keeps up, I'll have to! Blessings on your day, JP!

This is how much fell over night. The tree is the one that fell to the side of my house and in the front yard. It was a beautiful maple tree. I prayed that God would protect us,
and He did!!

It was a lot of snow. It looked pretty for a little bit.
7 days without power, some went longer.

Candles, and boiling water on the stove, driving around in the car, burryed myself under 3 comforters at night with a dog laying next to me and hubby too The kids used sleeping bags at night. The temp outside, during the day, went up to the 60's, so it wasn't too bad. It was that damp, chilly rain that was making things uncomfortable.

It's even colder this week. Winter's coming

I don't look forward to winter. It's supposed to be in the low 50's here all week. No more beach this year for me

It's getting a bit cold at night here too, but no snow or frost yet. We have used the wood stove today. It is nice and warm in our living room now. I still wear slippers barefoot, even when I go out, lol. I like to be barefoot.

I would if I could!! There isn't much right now, though! It's been snowing almost everyday for the past few days, but it goes as soon as the sun comes out.

Yes, but even when that happens here - life goes on. They hardly ever cancel school - which means then we have to go to work!! I think they think since we live here, we should just snow-shoe wherever we have to go!

No matter how much snow we get here in the Winter, life goes on as usual, and nothing closes because of snow. Life can be real hard in the Winter, but we're of Viking descent and can handle it, even if it is not fun to go out in the dark very early in the morning and shovel snow. There are times when we have to push the door so hard, as much snow is in front of it. Once the door froze and could not be opened, and we had to use the little door out to the garden on the other side of the house and ''wade'' in high snow, lol.
