I abandoned my faith for a number of years, and when looking for a church, decided on a Methodist church. I didn't get much out of it.
To my mind, many of the denominations that came out the Protestant Reformation had grown lax, and so I found an independent Christian church where I rededicated my life to the Lord, ultimately becoming Southern Baptist.
Don't get me wrong. I don't doubt that many Christians are part of some solid, Bible-believing churches in these denominations. I just thinks it's a shame that some of the churches in these denominations are nothing more than Sunday morning meetin' places.
Wow again. Hmmmm, when you figure that one out, pass it along.That is exactly what my church has become. I have gotten to the point of not even staying for worship or completely skipping any church on Sunday's. I need more. It wasn't always like this in the Methodist church. I grew up in this church and only left for about 15 years. I need to talk to my minister about this but how do you tell a man that he's not feeding me?
