This is what I use. It has AdAware and Spybot as one of it's programs. It takes a couple of hours, but you'll like the results. It's what hubby uses at work.

Thanks hon. I think I'll get Scotty over here to just blast everything that is on there and start over. I'm glad I have an IT guy friend.

I use Adaware, Spybot, and A squared. Still runs slow!!! I think I probably need more memory!! I love the Google popup blocker!! I like the spellcheck that comes with it, too!^_^
I run Hitmanpro when Google starts letting them in. I go to Neopets a lot. They throw pop-ups at you like throwing rice at a wedding. Google usually stops them, but, like any other geek, they figure out ways around Google. When it gets real bad I'll run Hitmanpro in Safe Mode with Networking just to make sure I don't have a trojan or something in the background running at the time of the scan.

I require any and all of our systems have McAfee Security Center as well. It's taken me a few years to figure out the best block & protection software combos but it sure is nice to have a secure and stable network functioning. It keeps all the users happy and off my back so I can read your posts here (shhh) ....of course now their exuses for not having work done are harder to come by.

Yeah, John, but after 15 years of being in IT for a variety of industries I have decided that is just too much to hope for in long stretches.

The lack of any attempt at applied logic by people just flat astounds me sometimes and I try hard not to break my head about the inability of straight line thinking for some. Is it any wonder I keep a BIG bottle of aspirin in my desk?

Bailey's works better, but it's hard to drink coffee all day in the summer. ^_^ :p

Hey, Rhys, you like Norton or McAfee?

If I had to choose between the two for personal use it would be McAfee, but actually I prefer PC-Cillin over either of those. I've also heard a lot of good things about Panda. I haven't had to impliment any for an enterprise however.
