I'm here! My hubby let me sleep in this morning! What a guy. He got up with the kids. That was such a blessing. BUT then I had an encounter with an angel on the stairs this morning! I got tripped by the dog...and I almost fell down them..but thank GOD I didn't! I had an arm load of laundry at the time!

at first I was SO scared..I was like..OH NO my back! BUT that angel did a wonderful job of catching me..and I DO praise God..and TOTALLY believe that angel was sent at that very moment. God is SO good.

How's your back tonight? Mine is beat, I worked register all day today and then tonight picked chicken...yeah, you read that right. Our church is having their annual Chicken & Dumpling dinner and there was over 600 pounds of chicken to pick off the bones. I stood there for 2 hours doing that and now *wiggles around* my butt feels good sitting in this chair.

My back is actually fine! Thank GOD! Thanks for asking. That is ALOT of chicken! But boy does that sound good...chicken and dumplings. Haven't had a good batch since my grammie died. She made an awsome dumplin'! LOL

Not sure about last year but I think the year before we served around 600 people. I have to work tomorrow while they are slinging dumplings but I'm sure they'll be busy. They have: chicken, dumplings, potatoes, green beans cole slaw, gravy, dressing and rolls. All that chicken was donated by a friend of our church. The chicken was normally our largest expense. All the proceeds goes into our Trustee account which handles the upkeep of the church.

I haven't made chicken and dumplings in a long time, it's about cold enough here to make it!! I am not normally cold natured, but my hands are like ice!!!

LOL John, I have a busy afternoon of switching out kitchen refrigerators...which also requires me to remove a portion of a wall so the new one will fit, AND relocating a light switch....yes, i'll need all the prayer i can get!
