CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, I am going to play in my yard, and get some flowers planted. I have a 5 year goal to buy some land and eventually buy a house, but I might as well let this rented lot look good while I am here! I sure can't afford to move!
I still haven't talked to her, but I haven't heard anything else, either. From everything people have told me, what she felt was normal, and I feel really good about her now.

Glad to hear things are going better with your daughter. Things are so different then when I was in the service, we didn't get phone privilages for over a month. But no news is good news. Prayers do work.

Different is an understatement!!! They didn't used to train women in combat, but now they are training right there with the men, doing all the same things!! My son told her that basic is 10% physical and 90% mental, but it is the physical that is so hard for her! And yes, prayers DO work!! Thanks for them!!
