You're adding to the Bible again. Matthew says that the devil showed Jesus "all the kingdoms of the world" from atop the mountain. This means that, from his vantage point, Jesus could see all the kingdoms of the world. It doesn't say that the devil showed Jesus some of the kingdoms of the world. It says all of them. So again, according to your own standards, you are rejecting the word of God.
The point is that verses like this, taken together with descriptions in the Bible (e.g., Job's description of the earth as a flattened piece of clay), tell us that the biblical authors thought the earth was flat. And the only way for you to get around it is to change the word of God.

Then show me the part where God describes the earth as a sphere! I've provided you several verses supporting my case, and you haven't given me one in response! So please don't tell me that I'm quoting selectively. You mention a single verse in Isaiah that speaks of the earth as being a circle. But as I've already pointed out, a circle is still a flat, 2-dimensional object!

If someone wanted to entice you with power and takes you up to a mountaintop, spreads his hand out and says; "All the kingdoms of the earth can be yours" what would you think? Why would you think that he did not mean "All the kingdoms of the earth...?" Since obviously no one can point out all the kingdoms of the earth, then how would you try to entice someone to want power over all the kingdoms of the earth without having him look at land itself? So again, you are reading the bible with such tunnel vision, that you grossly distort it.

I have already explained to you that a circle is not 3 dimensional. So since the bible describes 3 dimensional objects on the earth, then the circle mentioned in Isaiah is also describing a sphere. That's a no-brainer. But if you have no ability to put the bible together, then you have no business quoting it especially since you don't believe it to begin with!

No it doesn't mean that Jesus could see all the kingdoms of the earth. Those are words that you put in there. It means that Jesus knew that the devil was talking about all the kingdoms of the earth.

So again, you have no valid point when you quote an author you don't believe. Sorry.

So what part of reality disagrees with the biblical account of creation in Genesis? Does the sun not provide light by day where you live? Do the moon and stars not provide light by night where you live? Does morning and evening not happen where you live? Do animals not reproduce themselves where you live? Do humans not reproduce themselves where you live? Do animals and humans not eat plants and vegetables where you live? Do humans not decay into dust when they die where you live, etc.?

Or do you simply like to make statements you can't back up? If so, then since you have to make false statements to refute the bible, then you can't refute the bible. I have no desire to listen to false statements since they aren't valid arguments.

Changing the word "circle" to mean "flat' is a perfect example of changing the words in the bible to suit your itching ears. It's the secular world who thought the earth was flat. God already knew it was round long before scientists could figure that out. But sorry, if you don't know that a circle is round in this lifetime, I'm afraid you'll find out the hard way when you die. But that's your choice so your eternal fate is your responsibility. Have a nice day.

Sorry, but again, you have misread my words like you misread the bible. God tells us only what He wants us to know about creation and the world. That does not at all mean that God doesn't know more than what he reveals to us. that was my meaning; that God isn't interested in giving us any more specifics about the world than what we need to know about Him. Therefore, he tells us that the earth is round. the fact that it is also a sphere has nothing whatsoever to do with what God wants us to lean about spiritual issues. So He doesn't include that fact any more than He tells us the specifics of what will happen in everyone's life each day! So calling the earth a circle never rules out that the earth is also a sphere.

if you want to distort that, that will be on your conscience not mine.

I'm sorry that you don't know that the sun gives light by day, the moon and stars provide light by night, that humans breed humans, apes breed apes, etc., but perhaps you live on a different planet where apes can breed human descendants. The God I worship describes reality on earth perfectly.
So if you accuse God of being a liar, then let's her your answers to Job 38:4-40:1 which starts out;

"Where were you when I laid the earth's foundations? Tell me if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know!..for you were already born. You have lived so many years!"

So please tell us how the foundations of the earth were marked off, how each individual DNA was formed and created, how seeds were formed, when clouds will appear, which storms will produce tornadoes and when, when hurricanes, tsunamis or earthquakes will appear, what was the first life form and when, when each animal will go into labor, and on and on and on.

Job 41:2 "Let him who accuses God answer Him!" Then read the rest of Job and answer all the questions put to you. let's see who's lying, God, or the one who denies him? But first you have to give correct answers to all of God's questions...and made up stories aren't valid answers. And you can't know who is lying, you or God until you can answer all the questions God has presented.

"But God laughs at the wicked for he know their day is coming." God knows that a proud, haughty heart is a deceitful heart who claims to know things he doesn't know, then claims to know better than God does.
