Anyone watching the new show called Raines? Its on NBC friday nights with Jeff Goldblum as a detective that "sees and talks" with the dead victims in solving their cases.

The Ghost whisperer/medium/etc thing is kinda getting to be an old plot line anymore but his (Goldblums') character kinda makes it interesting in this show.

I not totally sold yet but am still gonna keep watching it. It also has Madeline Stowe in it - now she makes a show worth watching...;)

Raines is my mother's favorite show. She's really impressed with the character study of the Raines character, and with the job Jeff Goldblum does.

I haven't seen as many episodes, but I'm planning to catch up. I always like Goldblum, and the cast as a whole seems strong.

It's gotten poor ratings from what I hear, but we're both hoping for a renewal.

I haven't heard its so poor its not being renewed yet, but with the way things go now, you never know.

I hope it is because its just different and I like stuff like that anyways. So, I hope so. Remember though, Raines doesn't talk to dead people, he knows he creates them in his mind once they have died, but they aren't ghosts.

Keep that in mind, otherwise you get confused.
