rainbow bridge ?

is this a christian idea or just pet lovers idea ? i dont know but i think its a great way to console yourself over the loss of a pet

for those of you who dont know about 'rainbow bridge' its where your pets alledgely go when they pass, there are fields for them to play with other pets and they wait for you there and then before you enter heaven together you cross the rainbow bridge

if anyone can expand on this it would be greatly appreciated as i havent read much about it :o shame:

Dont really know much myself about rainbow bridge but if there is water under the bridge then would this include or swimming friends.

That's a good question. I've never thought about it before. I would like to think I will be reunited with the pets I have lost. I have a dog and a horse wiating for me it so!!

Well, I've never heard of that... but i do know that our pets will be in heaven with us! I recently bought a movie by Jack Van Impe Ministries called Animals in heaven... men like dr john walvoord, dr. billy graham, dr. j vernon mcgee, and john calvin are in it. They give the evidence that animals will be in heaven with us. I love my animals... so this was such a relief when i saw it!

That is something I always wondered about. I know animals will be there. It talks about the lion and the lamb, and how Jesus will be on a white horse. But I always wanted to know about certain animals. I guess we will have to wait and see when we get there.

Could you try to find that scripture? I've never known it to say pets don't go to heaven. It seems the Bible is pretty silent in that area.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
