Here in Canada, people of every race aspire and attain every career available. Race is not an issue, really.

Now here's an interesting story. The Governor General of Canada, a black woman if that means anything anymore, had a tree put up this year outside her residence in celibration of the Season. Her office, dutifully obedient to the forces that want to destroy all things European based, quickly announced the presence of the tree calling it a HOLIDAY TREE.

The Governor General was shocked. And came out with a statment saying that the tree was definitely NOT a Holiday Tree .. Her Excellency Michaelle Jean made sure everyone in the country knew very well it was a CHRISTMAS TREE.

Since then, several municipalities in Canada have officially returned to calling a kettle a kettle and a Christmas Tree a Christmas Tree.

It's not racism, it's claiming one's rightful culture.

Why should traditionally Judeo-Christian and European culture countries submit every time? Why should it be their culture that is endlessly diminished? People are beginning to stand up against the onslaught against them.

there are three holidays that occur during the christmas season:

christmas
Hanukkah
Kwanzaa

now maybe you're one of those types that thinks that America and Canada should only follow white and christian traditions and not allow anything else, but most people are not.

stores say "happy holidays" in order to include all of the holidays and all of the traditions and cultures.

no doubt that is the same reasons that they called it a "holiday tree". holiday, christmas tree, its still a tree with lights and decorations on it that with presents underneath and is used to celebrate christmas. SO WHAT?

no one is diminishing anything they're trying to include other cultures and traditions because....yes they do exist. whether you realize it or not.

America and Canada both are multi ethnic multi religious multi racial countries, if you have a problem with that there is always the next plane out.

Actually, it is the diminishing the Judeo-Christian and European based cultures.

If a group of people have been for centuries building a nation, have established holidays and so on, why, for the sake of Judeo-Christian hating, English-hating, white-hating, European culture hating should they start erasing whole seasons from their Calendar? Why should they have to call their Christmas tree a holiday tree? Why can't they mention their God in public? Why can't they get jobs with their own federal governement? Why do they have to be flooded with people who hate the culture of those already here?

get it that time? you can still celebrate christmas you can still go to church you can still say "merry christmas".

not just white people celebrate christmas either.

there is no racism involved with people saying "happy holidays"

no one is hating white people european anything or christmas. they are just trying to include other cultures. this country has freedom of religion. ever hear of it? it also has freedom of speech. you can say "merry christmas" if you want. no one has taken that right away from you. if they do, they're wrong. but i dont see it happening.

stores and businesses saying "happy holidays" only say that because there are THREE holidays celebrated in december. thats not "discrimination" and no one is trying to eliminate anything.

You can mention God in public. Can you give christian advice as a part of your job? only if it is a private christian organization. you can get jobs wherever you want. no one has taken that away.

this country was founded on the idea of freedom of religion. are you suggesting that gets taken away?

you're seeing persecution and hate where there isnt any. that causes alot of false problems, and it seems to me like you're already deep into it.

America is very much a Christian counrty. At least 85% of the population there are at least nominally Christian.

I'm not American, I can only talk as I percieve America through news, CNN, and other media .. and chats and discussion on the Internet. There are plenty of places you can go to debate America.

and dont trust the media. do you know how many times they twist stories to put across a message they want you to believe? or how many times they've made up stories? they do it alot.

majority/minority is not what makes a country christian or not.

America is NOT a theocracy. it is NOT a christian country. while most people may be christians or claim they are christian that doesnt make it even remotely a christian country.

I guess you dont know so much about America after all. try reading the constitution and the amendments. you'll see: "freedom of religion" among other things that clearly make America a democracy/republic. not a theocracy.

That argument works two ways. The newcomers to a country have a right to their own culture and shouldn't be made to bend over backwards to accept a new one. What would you call it if some poor Muslim immigrant got a job at Walgreen's and was made to say "Merry Christmas" to everyone who walked in and bought something? Then they might come to actually hate the culture, even if they were perfectly neutral before.

mpegstation is part right, the Mohammedens flooding into Europe and their high birthrates are a threat to European culture in the sense their culture will eventually replace European culture, but they are not necesssarily seeking to destroy everything European so much as are trying to preserve their own culture in another country.

And the knee-jerk cries of "Racism!" seem to come from PC whites as oftnen it not more than from minorities.

Yes, America is NOT a Nation State and never was. Soem of the colonies even dislike eachother, like Puritan New England and Catholic Rhode Island.
