Here, I'll let a few police officers tell you some of the states such as, NY, WI, PA, CO, MA, etc. What state would you be referring to?
Did you see my next post. You thought you knew. That's all I needed to know.
White privilege is not being arrested for sitting quietly in Starbucks without having made a purchase while waiting for a business appointment.
How did they become hostile?People were arrested because after the "I'm sorry sir, I'm going to have to ask you to make a purchase or to leave," they did neither of those things, but became hostile.

Just thought you had heard something I hadn't. It appears you didn't.How should I know?
Faced with a similar request to "make a purchase or leave," I don't become hostile, but different people react in different ways, and for different reasons.
Actually, nobody was arrested for "sitting quietly in Starbucks without having made a purchase."
People were arrested because after the "I'm sorry sir, I'm going to have to ask you to make a purchase or to leave," they did neither of those things, but became hostile.
I myself have had staff in restaurants and coffee shops say "I'm sorry sir, I'm going to have to ask you to make a purchase or to leave," and I've either made a purchase or left, all very quietly, without making the kind of fuss that requires the police to intervene.
Great example of why body cams are necessary in police work. This racist cop had the audacity to issue a speeding ticket to a driver doing 70 in a 55 mph zone.
With the climate of race relations we have today in this country, this turned into a racial incident, which should have just been someone getting a speeding ticket.
Video doesn't lie
“I have had a traumatic experience and I want the people who are not African-American who know me to really get where we are coming from,” she says. “When I saw the police pull up behind me, the state trooper, I was immediately afraid."
“This is the area I’m in," she said, panning the camera around to show the rural roadway. “In the middle of, this kind of stuff. This is where I am, so it’s not like I’m not afraid, because this is where we got lynched."
She added: “Do any of my white friends…feel like that when they get pulled over?...Are they afraid that they are never going to come home or see anybody else because police are at the door saying [I’m going] to pull you out of the car? Why do only African Americans and people of color know what I’m going through right now?”

The police were not called because they made a fuss. It seems no fuss was made until after the police arrived.and I've either made a purchase or left, all very quietly, without making the kind of fuss that requires the police to intervene.
