  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A few days ago I heard a really good quote. It goes like this. "God is faithful, even when we aren't." It really made me think; I guess I had never really thought about that before. Unfortunately not a day goes by that I'm completely faithful to Him. But I thank Him for His forgiveness!! Also, just yesterday, as I was reading a chapter in the Bible, God led me to the verses that that quote refers to.

It is 2 Timothy 2:11-13 which reads: "Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself." Amen!!

Thanks for this post, I've so enjoyed meditating upon it this morning. Thank God for the faith He's imparted to us, and His faithfulness to grow us up in Christ!
