  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

That is very touching! Yeah, I can understand that he doesn't talk about it very much. For me, it's not that I mind talking about it, I just don't want people to be awkward around me. "Autism spectrum disorder", around here, just arouses strange feelings, like they think I am not normal or something. And, well, I'm not normal, but noone is normal. Everyone is a freak in their own little way. ;) But I am not "nuts" are anything like that I always fear that that is what people will think of. It seems that more and more people are hearing about it now and that is a very good thing. It's great that he is going to college and university!! What does he want to study? Does autism and asperger's run in your family?
well Kevin is the first one I know about...but my grandson has been diagnosed with autism so it prolly did run in my family and people didnt realize it.

I think it is the same here. Noone else has been diagnosed but I think it does run in the family. We though my nephew had autism. He couldn't talk for the longest time, and would not let anyone touch him. He's begun to talk though, and we know he is intelligent, but what he says is often repeats of what he hears. He can count to twenty and can say his days in French. I've taught him the months in French as well, but I don't think he understands what any of the words are. He just says them. My older nephew seems like a typical aspie but we are not sure about that.
