Quitting smoking

Please pray for my husband (Bill). He quit smoking, today was his first day without a cigarette. He's been smoking since he was 11 years old. He wants to quit because we are about to become parents (4 to 6 weeks until our son arrives). Also, he helps with the youth group at our church and doesn't like to smoke around them.

Say a prayer for me too, he was really, really, really crabby today. I used to smoke and quit 8 years ago, so I understand what he is going through, but its still hard for me to be nice when he is so irritable.

Father God, thank You for always being in control! Lord, I pray for this lady asking for prayer. I pray also for her hubby and their unborn Baby. Lord, thank You for the hubby's decision to quit smoking! I trust that You will continue to provide him with the strength to end smoking for good. I pray also for this wife, please give her encouragement as he quits. Lord, I pray also for a healthy baby and a normal delivery. I pray for the little one's salvation in Your timing and according to Your will! In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Thanks for your prayers, he started smoking again today.

I am happy to tell you though, the prayers for me worked. I was able to be gracious and loving the whole time, and even when he told me he started again. I have faith our Lord will deliver him.
