  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have made quilts off and on for a while now, and I even made a quilt for my Mommie before she passed away and she was buried with it.....she loved it so!

I was wondering if anyone else has any quilt projects going on now?

I am making a peach/peach flowers quilt that is going to be a suprise for a special little girl (betcha can guess who)...

and then Im going to make a boy design one for a special little boy (once again, no big stretch to guess which one LOL)

what quilting do you have going on now??

I love to do this too. I could sit and piece a quilt top all day and forget about everything else!

Right now I am working on 3 block of the month projects. Finishing the binding on last year's Thimbleberries BOM, getting ready to bind a queen size garden nine patch. I am also pieceing a Christmas one, whenever I feel like it. I have another one being machine quilted that is an amish type design which will go to my mother.

I have many more I want to do, but I do have other things in my life I must do also.

I love to quilt.

I just finished a hoodie quilt for a baby shower I attended today. Such a cute quilt and so easy to do. My friend loved it. She doesn't know what she's having so I made it out of a toile pattern of red and green on a beige background...little children fishing and playing in the print. It turned out awesome and I was very proud and excited to give it to her. It was the first hoodie quilt I'd made but I'll definitely make more. I could finish one in a few hours if I put my mind to it...it was that simple. And, my own girls loved it, lol...they were wearing it around "testing it out" all night last night. It's made sort of like the hooded baby towels.

Beyond that, I have about 10 quilt tops just waiting to actually be sandwiched and quilted.

And I'm also working on a quilt with the church kids for children's missions...we're making a quilt for the missionaries we sponsor. They each drew a square for the quilt at our last children's missions meeting...4 years old up to 12 years, lol, so we've got some interesting variety. But it's very cute....each square whatever they wanted about God, Jesus, church, or missions. I've got an angel print that I'm going to sash it together and bind it with. Hopefully I'll be able to get that done by next week...my hubby and I are leading children's church (we do so the 1st Sunday of every month) and I'd like to give them an idea of what their project is going to look like.
