Quilt making

I posted this in the general hobbies section before I noticed this forums.
I am pretty new at quilt making, am just about 3/4 way thru my second one since last fall. I have enjoyed it, and there is a place here that gives lessons, and you can go to 'open sews' to get advice and quilt with others for 6 or 7 hours.

cool! I love quilting too, have not too much time for it mind you. I have made 2 queen size quilts out of my mothers clothes for my brothers after she passed away. took me a year each quilt & definitely not perfect Was a great process of healing though.

I have never done quilting, I would like to make one. Use squares and fabric cut outs I think. I don't think I could knit anything that resembles a picture.
