  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

When I was born I was baptized RC. Does that still apply? or count anymore? My mother did not convert to JW until I was 2. So she went through the whole process and she was raised a RC herself. With a last name like Caruso she better have been. I can remember going to Churhc a couple of times but ti was always for funeral masses when I was a child. My mom couldn't get out of that my grandfather would have had a fit. Even when he died she went out of respect for him. I know that I have not been confirmed and all of that stuff but how much weight does it carry that I was baptized?

You can never become un-baptized! :)

First the good news . . Your baptism is as valid now as it was when you were first baptized . . :)

Now the not so good news . . there are many years to confess . . I have over 30 since my last confession . . . but the good news is that God is really, really there . . it is awesome . . I went to a group of 4th graders' reconcilliation . . oh, the move of God in that place .. it is nothing like you might think . . it is so different, so heavenly . . I could barely keep myself from running up right then and there and confessing everything . .

:)

Peace in Him!

Yeah but that means I have almost 37 yrs of confessing to do   Ouch I hope the priest has patience this may take quite awhile. I haven't exactly been the best girl in the whole world. OH Boy am I glad He is forgiving at this point.
I think though that it would be very good for me to lift it all up and rid myself of it. Helps one to center themselves and move forward. This may be a little painful but good.

Yes you are. If however you were born a JW then Baptized in the JW cult, then no its a void baptism, since they deny the trinity.:) So ur OK! :p
there would be a small problem there they don't believe in baptism until one is old enough to know the weight of the decision they are making and when it came time for me to do that I said No. :) thank God.

Actually they do not believe in once saved always saved they believe in Faith without works is Dead. They are really rad. And they do not believe in the trinity that is why I had such a hard time with the concept of it for such a long time. I grew up believing in three separate entities not one. Things like no interfaith marriages and I couldn't even celebrate my birthday or christmas or any other holiday for that matter we only celebrated Christ's Death with Passover ceremonies at the Kingdom Hall and that lasted for about 45 min and then that was it. I wasn't even allowed to say the pledge of allegiance because I would be pledging my allegiance to the flag which is an image that signifies something other than God. No crosses no pulpits the brothers in the Kingdom Hall were called elders those that governed a congregation not priests or anything along those lines and they had reasons for it all and for all of them if you read the scripture it could be percieved to be so but if you don't take it out of context and then cross reference it with other scriptures it also disproves it.
