If there are many different religions in the world, how do we know that Christianity is the only way? It seems a bit weird to say that all other beliefs are wrong...but who knows, maybe not.

Learn what God said was RIGHT and WRONG. Do not do anything God said as WRONG. I feel if you do this...You will find the RIGHT way.

There are two lines you can follow.

a) Start with the resurrection. What does that say about Jesus and therefore the importance of what he said and what his immediate followers believed about him.

b) What gives the most consist interface with life on planet earth as we know a nd experience it ie what gives a reality based, consistent worldview.

There is only one truly convincing way to determine that Christianity is the one true religion and that is to keep praying to Jesus to send you His Holy Spirit. If you pray consistently "in faith believing" and you are making a continual determined effort to live a sin free life, then in time Jesus will send His Holy Spirit to you and all your doubts will vanish when you feel His presence as manifested through His overwhelming love and forgiveness.

If only we could get our politicians to pray for this experience! The war in Afghanistan would end almost immediately as they started to forgive their self-proclaimed "enemies"!!

To answer this question you have to ask yourself: was Jesus who he claimed to be? Many people believe Jesus had delusional disorder. Someone with delusional disorder thinks they are someone grand, they are more powerful than someone else, they know the secret to life, etc. We have seen many cult leaders with delusional disorder: Jim Jones, David Koresh, Charles Manson, Hitler, etc. These were leaders of people. They had followings.

If you look at the life of Jesus, you will see that he was very different from the men I mentioned above. First off, Jesus was a humble man and did not seek power or glory. Buddha also was a humble man like Jesus, but Buddha did not perform miracles. Secondly, Jesus had the power to BE grand but chose not to. He had the power to rule over all kings, but he did not. Jesus possessed divine foresight (even the Muslims admit this). He was born of a virgin (something Muslims also acknowledge). Thirdly, and most importantly, none of the men above mentioned in the first paragraph would have suffered willingly and died for us. Jesus had plenty of time to escape the Romans and Pharisees. He could have headed for Greece to escape. He didn't. People with delusional disorder would have committed suicde by their own hand as an escape. They do not sacrifice their lives for people. They do the opposite: they look out for themselves and only for themselves.

So is Christianity the only way? Look at the life of Jesus and compare to any other religion and then you can decide who this man really was.

If other belief systems will eventually get you to Heaven, there's no reason for Jesus to come and do what he did, making the sacrifice that he made. God is wise enough to know this. You must either utterly reject what Christians say about Jesus, or utterly reject the notion that other paths can lead to Heaven.

Jesus is the One who said that He is the only way to the Father. For Christians to say that there are other ways to find peace with God is to bear false testimony. In one sweeping statement, Jesus discards all other religions as a means of finding forgiveness of sins. This agrees with other Scriptures: "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" and "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"

In all major religions, the followers strive to rid themselves of sin through various practices. They may pray in a prescribed way, do various good works, deny themselves legitimate sexual pleasure, follow dietary restrictions, lie on beds of nails, etc. The uniqueness of Jesus is shown in His statement, "The Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins." No other religious leader has ever made this claim. Jesus Christ alone can wash away every sin anyone has ever committed, because of what He did on the cross. By paying the penalty for our sin, He can release us from the torture of guilt. We cannot do anything in the way of religious works to wash away our sins. Forgiveness is a free gift of God.

If you born in Iraq and have the same strength of faith that you have today, it's entirely possible that you wouldn't believe a word the Bible says but trust the Quran like you do the Bible today.

How can that then be explained? Were people born into Christianity the ones who had it easy?

Problem is that's not true. People all over the world turn to Christ and are saved every single day. People who have known nothing but islamic teachings and the quran turn and are healed even after decades immersed in a culture of lies.

Unlike islam and every other belief system out there Christianity is not a formula but rather a relationship with the living God. You can study the quran or any other book for 100 years but the moment you realize that God is personal and wants relationship more than inane, heartless 5 times a day worship it changes your who perspective.

All but one road. Jesus Christ leads away from Rome.

If all we believe is according to God's plan then he planned for different religions to lead people to God. He made those roads people walk, just as he did the one you trod. I find it funny how so many people put so much effort into telling other people they are wrong when their feet trod a road made by the same maker who made the other man's road. You say they don't all lead to the same place?
