CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If your will is aligned with the Lord's, then that'll be blessed ("Commit your plans to the Lord .....and your plans will succeed). If our will is against the Lord's, then that becomes sinful. Hope that helps

I'd give it a 10/10 if you want to live up to your full Christian potential.
God has given each of us special gifts and special talents to use in this life, not only to help us succeed, but also in order to bless others as well. If we try to step out in our own ability, and in our own will we run the risk of failing.
For example many people want to get into business, when they should be in the ministry, and because of that a lot of businesses fail because that wasn't what God called them to do. You can flip that around. People want to get into the ministry when they should be in the business world, and therefore are not very successful as a minster and have very little influence because that wasn't what God called them to be.
Out of curiosity, do you know God's will for your life? And if so, are you worried you may not be happy doing his will, and so that is why you may be considering doing something else?

thank you i was hoping someone would say 10/10. Now I'm sure I have to, my will is not good xD. and yeah thats true some of our will is good if it goes with gods will but if its against his will it leads to sin. honestly I'm only 17, I'm not quite sure what his will is for my life,.. I'm talented with computers but I'm not sure how I would use that to benefit god... maybe if i figured out how to draw people to him through that talent. I'll probably figure out sooner or later though, what to do with this life and how to use my talents for him. Now I'm willing to do his will fully, i do have worrysome doubts that ill fail and stop doing his will because I give into temptation pretty easily regarless if jesus gives me a way out, or not D:

It is in my opinion a 10/10.
Not only does the Lord know what is best for you - but realise that Christians are called, and formed for good works, to the glory of God. Not works of their own, humanly devised choosing.
"Lean not on your own understanding"
(Proverbs 3:5)
"He who trusts in his own heart is a fool"
(Proverbs 28:26)
We are to walk in good works - but for a work to really be good, it should be sanctioned and blessed by God.
Make a habit of seeking His will concerning decisions, and especially, developing a relationship with Him. The more you do this, and obey, the more He will guide you and trust you with His affairs. You have to show yourself a faithful and wise servant - would a servant be faithful, or wise, or even a servant at all, if he did whatever seemed good to him?
Anything that you do, that you know is
His will, is going to be blessed and succeed, even if it has difficulties attending it. Anything against His will, you can expect to be difficult, unfruitful, unsatisfying, or all of these.
Remember that self-will is a sin, and that Christians don't belong to themselves. We do not have "rights" - we do what God tells us to, but He enables us to do the thing. The difficult part is saying, "Yes."
If you know His will but don't do it - expect to be chastised, and stall in your spiritual walk until you deal with the issue.
I've had some difficult things asked of me. After saying yes, I found that they were more or less easy to do or be okay with.
It's trial and error, brother. Just be an honest man, who seeks to do well.
