Should do. because when people love God first, they do all the other stuff right aswell, like loving their neighbour as theirself and always acting in kindness, and trying to avoid acting in bitterness or anger and stuff. On the other hand doing what God says might not always agree with the other person, at least not at first, but it can be for the eventual good of a relationship, eg. waiting till marriage. I'm sure there's more to write, but it it'll probably take up like a metre of page or something. There's a relationship sort of forum thing on this site as well, might be a good idea to look in there, they'd know more than I do. But feel free to talk anytime. :)

In my opinion, God should always be the base of any intimate relation you have with anyone else. Once you agree to let God take full control of the reigns, you don't have the constant pulling in two different directions from you and your partner. My parents decided long ago that they would put God first in their relationship (before each other, even) and they've been married for 25 years and are still going strong. Just be sure to make sure you are praying for each important decision so that you are in God's will. ;)

Without a doubt, a relationship that is focused on CHrist, is more than likely going to succeed. But woe to those who do not focus on Him! For I had a relationship that failed to focus on Christ, as I was not a Christian. Now I know all to well, if it had been focused on Him truly, then it would have led to a blessing indeed, instead of heartache, and pain.

I will be praying for you.
