Quick moral question.

I know downloading mp3s on peer to peer programs is morally wrong, but I'm not sure about myspace.

I look up an artist and there's a page for it with a few sample mp3s and download them from the page. The page is not the official artist's page, though.

Is this wrong?

Mate, an artists songs are their goods to sell. Downloading them off a peer-to-peer program or an unofficial Myspace page is no different.

The only time I would say its ok, is if the band itself has offered songs to be downloaded or given their ok to people doing it. If you aren't sure whether this site has the bands OK, I would stay away from downloading songs from it.

bro, there are many things that the Lord did not explicitly say... eg. in the Bible, you shall not download mp3s or you shall not have Mp3s on your space

when it comes to this things, there is was called "things of the heart" where the Holy Spirit will tell you and speak to you in regards to this issues.
If you thing is correct and have peace and no objections. Go AHEAD

however if it does not feel 'quite' right then maybe you are on the right track

Many people over-analyse everything and reckon the Lord only cares about major things in your life. This is so wrong - the Lord cares and wants guide you in every single move or step you take

I'm pretty sure downloading them off of myspace is legal, since the only way to upload the songs is for the artist(s) to do it. If it's on there, then the artist(s) has given permission to download it.
