  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Does Anyone have any theories, studies, excerpts, links to the five:

Senses?

Offerings in Leviticus?

or also on:

Emotions?

Feelings?

GOD is ONE.

GOD is LOVE.

Are you saying that it is strange that five is used so much? It certainly does have a lot of significance, especially in the east (Musashi's book that I quote in my sig isn't the book of five rings for nothing.)

Unfortunately four is a very important number too, what with the four classical elements, four gospels, etc.

Then again, seven is an important number, what with the seven cardinal virtues, seven deadly sins, seven courses of the medieval university, etc.

I could go on, but the fact is that nearly every number between one and thirteen is significant in a great deal of places.

:) Moonlessnight,

Oh, and if that's not what you meant, then sorry for wasting some time. I can't honestly say that I understand the point you are trying to make in the last part of your post.

Hi Moon, your not wasting anyone's time.
I'll try to explain.
I'm looking for knowledge of GOD and for ways to explain to others my knowledge of GOD. I've been looking at the Bible as if it all relates to me and have been figuring things out using numbers systematically.

Some Examples: 7

Problem Solving
1 Perceiving Wickedness, Unease or Distress
2 Identify the Problem or Situation
3 Assimilate Root Definitions
4 Converge Conceptual Models to Your Knowledge of GOD
5 Compare 4 with 2
6 Desirable and Feasible Change (The One Solution)
7 Actions to Improve Situation

Systematic Planning
1 Establish Intent (The Greatest Commandment)
2 Set Goals
3 Determine Objectives
4 Determine Actions or Tasks
5 Establish Priorities
6 Prepare (Do)
7 Review or Follow Up

Wisdom has built her house,
She has hewn out her seven pillars;

Proverbs 9:1 NASB

Are you saying that it is strange that five is used so much?
No, just asking a question.

It certainly does have a lot of significance, especially in the east (Musashi's book that I quote in my sig isn't the book of five rings for nothing.)
I agree.

An example: 5

Leviticus one through five are the laws of offerings to GOD.

1 Burnt Offering
2 Grain Offering
3 Peace Offering
4 Sin Offering
5 Guilt Offering

I believe thes are all related to emotions and the five senses and I am trying to make connections.

I could go on, but the fact is that nearly every number between one and thirteen is significant in a great deal of places.

They are very significant.

:) Philosoft,

Hmm. I have copious thoughts on some, almost no thoughts about others. Can you be more specific?
Anything you give will be appreciated.
Theories, studies, excerpts and links?

Well, actually there are at least 6 senses. Proprioception is universally ignored, yet it is a legitimate sense - it isn't a function of any other sense.
That's Interesting!

I have an answer for this. Stop looking. NO, I am being serious. God, if he/she/they/it exists it is completely outside our understanding, and numbers I doubt will make things any clearer. Can you comprehend infinity? No, intellectually you can, but you can not really understand it. It is the same for god.

BEsides, number tricks can be repeated for nearly anything. As I understand it, some few years ago they came up with an equation called the bible code, which was supposed to reveal prophecyform the odl testemont. Skeptics were quickly able to reproduce the exact same results with moby Dick and other woks of fiction.

The bible desribes 5 purposes for the Christian.

1)For God's pleaure

2)To be in God's family

3)To become like Christ

4)To serve other Christians and God (Ministry)

5)To take the Gospel to the whole world (Missions)
