CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

◘ What is your opinion on physician assisted suicide?
○ Do you have a last will and testament prepared in the event that something happens to you?
◘ How long do you believe patients who are in comas should continue to receive medical care?
○ If something was to happen and you could not survive without life support, would you want to die or continue to live off of the medical equipment?
◘ If doctors informed your family that you had suffered significant brain damage after an accident and you would be in a vegetative state for the remainder of your life if they revive you, would you want your family to take the chance of saving your life with the possibility of having to take care of you? Or, would you rather that your family let you peacefully pass?

○ Have you ever volunteered at a homeless shelter? If not, why? If so, what was the most shocking thing that you observed?
◘ Would you want your children to put you in a retirement home? Do you feel that the elderly are often mistreated there? If so, what should be done about it?
○ What is your opinion of music/movie filesharing (P2P)? Do you feel that it should be illegal? If so, what do you believe is fair punishment for those who break the law?
◘ If you had to remodel one room in your house/apartment, which room would you remodel? Be specific in design changes and design details. Why would you choose this room?

Well, when I was about 10 a friend and I were supposed to work at the soup kitchen and when we got there somebody else had scheduled over our time and we didn't get to help out. One thing that I saw walking around downtown Nashville though was sad. A man was going around picking up cigarette butts so he could get some tobacco.

I wouldn't mind as long as they checked it out thoroughly first. I don't think that the elderly are mistreated in every home. There are lots of good ones. You just need to research it well. Go visit unannounced if they'll let you and see what really goes on. If there is abuse, go to the owner/operator of the company.

You aren't paying for the product, therefore you are stealing. I think there should be a fine and if the person is found to do it again, he or she should spend some time in jail.

To a certain extent. I think that different kids mature at different ages and that some kids really don't realize that something is wrong when other kids his or her age do. I think that a child under 18 should be held responsible for his actions, but the parents also need to feel responsible for how they raised the child.
