  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Agreed. However, knowing that God is loving and just, appropriate conclusions may be drawn using those as axioms.
This is complicated by our lack of understanding of the spiritual state of proto-humans. We certainly can speculate, but I doubt we will know in this life.

I deal with this issue the same way I deal with age of accountability. I work on the assumption that God holds us to a decision when we are capable of making that decision and that for any individual, it is impossible for another person to see exactly when that moment is. I could give you a range where I imagine it happened, but I can't tell you when the first theological human was born.

tyhat makes it rather difficult for you to claim to be impartial on the subject
That was hyperbole. I study evolution, but there are plenty of other things to work on here. Our main focus is medical genetics -- evolution is a side-line that I work on because I'm interested in it.

As humans evolved, what decided they would stop simply dying and going to Hell,
If an entity has a chance of going to hell, then they have a chance to go to heaven.

or simply dying, but would rather go to heaven?
God did.

For all we know God considered neanderthals, erectus, ergaster and habilis to be as human as we are. Or maybe not. It's just not a question that has a clear answer.
To expand slightly on what Gluadys has written, I beleive that at some point God decided that some of our ancestors had reached the point he was looking for, I suspect the point of being able to have a relationship with him, at that point he gave us souls.

That is when/where it happened.
