Hello T&O

let me first start by saying I still keep the Sabbath, so I am not hostel to the Sabbath. I will take one at a time.

1. What is the New Covenant. Before I answer this I think there i must clear up some confusion that I see amoung SDA's. there are many people who use the term old and new covenat in the sda wrongly. they apply it to Adam and Eve, Abraham and Iseral and then the Chruch. The reason for this is that they are taught that there are only 2 covenats OLD AND NEW. The problem is that there are more then 2. The other problem is that most sda don't realize that with every covenat there is a sign of the promise. so lets look at the different covenants and their signs.

1. Edenic covenat- i have given you every thing in the Garden it is yours, except the tree of K O G&E. honor the agreement say in the garden and live, don't and leave the garden and die, we all know what happened.

2. Messinaic covenat- I will send some one to rescue you and end evil, he will pay for your crimes and give you righteousness. The sign was the sacrifical Lamb

3. Noah's: covenat: I will never cover the entire earth in a flood again. sign the Rainbow

4. Abraham- i will give you a son and through you the whole world will be blessed. Sign cirumcision

5. The Jews- old covenat. you are my choosen people my son and I will be your father. I will cleanse you and help you. (summary) the sign was the sabbath

6. the New Covenat, - jesus initated this at the last supper - sign the bread and the wine.

Do you see the muiltipul covenats?

That's good to hear brother Ice. So even outside of the Adventist church you see the importance on Sabbath for a Christian?

I'm way ahead of you on the different kinds of covenants brother. I was just pointing this out in another thread actually!

So yes, we're on the same page for sure.

Do you think there is a different commanded covenant for New Testament believers than the Old? If so, can you tell us exactly what laws a New Testament believer was told to keep?

1. What is the New Covenant? In detail, can you tell us what it entails?

The covenant between God the Father and God the Son to ensure salvation for all mankind. We enter it by faith in what Christ did for us.

2. Could you tell us what laws are in the New Covenant? We're told to obey the commandments in the New Covenant, so please be exact about what they are please.

To agape and to believe on Jesus. We are to be led by the Holy Spirit who works in us and through us to transform us and those around us.

3. When was the New Covenant sealed? At the resurrection? The Pentacost? When exactly?

Inaugurated at Jesus' death and fully given at Pentecost. Just as the old covenant was inaugurated at the deliverance from Egypt and fully given on Sinai.

4. Can you please supply the doctrine/teachings that your particular non-denominational church upholds?

I don't attend one specific church, but many. I can tell you what I believe but the non-denomination churches I attend do not all believe the same things.

Tell us exactly what you all unanimously agree on now.

I'm guessing that we all believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone and not by works.

Also, I mentioned before that I am not here to convince anyone of anything. I'm sorry if that offends some SDAs here, but I believe you have the Bible and can read it for yourself. There are plenty of people out there who have never heard the Gospel once who would welcome it if only they were told. My time here is not to convince, but to discuss. Discussion with other with staunchly different viewpoints helps me learn and grow.

different morals: no
different; yes

the old was the law in the commandments on stone: the new is in the heart. the new is superior to the old it requries more then the old

Are the same laws written on stone now written on the heart or did the laws change in the New Testament?

I'm just trying to make this perfectly clear for myself and everybody.
