It's hard telling if a celeb is a serious Christian or not. Look at Bieber and his Christianity. He had a book written about his faith but now he is drug and sex crazed. It's really sad.

Ok I also have another question I would like to add . Is it ok for christians to listen to rock(and it's sub-genres) and what would be worldly music?

In my opinion it is okay to listen to non-christian music as long as it is not hateful, cursing, or inappropriate. Sex music and drug music is not good for the soul. I occasionally listen to classic love music or classic rock as long as it is clean.

I can tell you I was a lot like him when I was young and I was saved at 6. I ran from God for 30 years, but being saved i always found God running after me.

cooper new Jim Morrison of The doors and Jim was in to dark stuff. Jim was trying to open evil doors in people. i know that sounds funny but its true he want chaos. I am sure cooper pick up on some of that teaching, but I can not speak to whether he is saved or not.

I would agree it's okay to listen to secular music occasionally. But really Christian music needs to be your "most of the time".

I had a good chuckle because I had to google who he is.
There are many celebrites out there who are very sincere in their faith...I think of Kirk Cameron and his sister Candace. I'm sure there are many others as well. I'm just not up on my celebrities.

The secular stuff I hear is not gentle and humble and quiet, and older secular stuff seems to be calling attention to the singer and musicians and not to God.
Also, I suspect there is "Christian" ministry which is only talent and not a real grace ministering gift. Ones seem to be more into sounding beautiful and not ministering the beauty of the melody of God's love. So . . .
"Test all things; hold fast what is good." (1 Thessalonians 5:21)
You can sing to the Lord. And I offer He does not care how you sound, but how your heart is > "making melody in your heart to the Lord." (in Ephesians 5:19)
Think about how Jesus could want to hear you
