CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Absolutely!! But pay attention to the ANSWERS, LOL!
Truthfully, you should research everything. The more you dig, the better satisified you should be with the answers. If you find contradictions, then ask questions. (but do it respectfully, please!)
And start from the beginning, that Christianity is NOT a democracy. But it is about Love.

Religion has passed through generations that has been influenced by traditions, rules, laws, regulations & philosophy set up by people. The word of God exists, and over time, people build walls around it so that they would not stumble over God's word. Eventually, they were not following God's word, but they were just following the "laws" that they have created. The word of God has been "lost" due to so many walls being built around it.
While some laws are good and can be considered as precise, some are not.
"See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ." Colossians 2:8
So, question everything. While some traditions & laws are good, I'd rather follow the word of God.
