The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Just want to say I wouldn't listen to Marilyn Manson, he has been quoted as saying some very disturbing anti-Christian things... Not trying to tell you what to do, just sayin' that's all.
Most of us before becoming Christians were influenced by non Christians in different areas before accepting Christ. That may have applied to you concerning music. If you are a Christ follower now and are looking to glorify God with your talent, do so. Use it to the glory of God. Before Christ I used natural gifts and abilities purely for the glory of self, I was agnostic and ignorant to the fact that I only had the abilities I did because of God creating me and allowing me to have natural abilities in some areas. We all have something that we naturally excel at, pick up easily, or have a passion for. I think God wants us to use these gifts to bring good into other people's lives and point them to the true hope in Christ.
By the way, saw you started therapy. How is that going so far?
