Questionable Rule; Moderators help?

I have requested that my icon be changed since the rule has now been included in the rules listed in the stickys.... I disagree that a person can be identified with an icon.... as someone else pointed out, anyone can choose an icon just to make trouble if they are so inclined.... and some folks make trouble without one....

True, if someone is so inclined to cause trouble they will always find a way to do it. The icon rule can only slow them down a bit - but the purpose of the icon is for purposes of affiliation - not to prevent those that would seek to cause trouble or prevent such trouble. Having the icon is for other members to know what your affiliation is so that they will know whether to debate with you and where it is appropriate.

It should only take a few days for this process to happen, that is all it took for my change to take place.

The only doubt I have is the claim of adventist. He can sport 5 icons showing it, and I'm not going to believe it. Not unless there's one for "disgruntled sda"

Nope not at all, though you are free to think what you will. Additionally you don't know me well enough yet to assess my motive for doing what I do, and since I don't know you, I will not assume that you are having problems with me, though your comment sounds like you might.

I maintain that a christian icon is good enough for discussion and interaction here, however there are those here who won't interact or debate without seeing the adventist icon. I think the rule is stupid. In my opinion the icons are just labels, that prevent people from really getting to know what another person really believes. I think the rule will not prevent someone who really wants to cause trouble to do so. The rule was not listed when I joined, now it is....oh and yeah, they changed my icon, which now gives me the green light to continue a line of questioning if I so choose...

I'm getting my icon changed too. I should've just gotten it in the first place but I thought you could change it easily. Regardless, I consider myself Christian first, Adventist second.

So in the end Stormy, all you proved is that you're a non-conformist until you're forced to conform to get what you want. LOL Then you break like a twig.

That's not a non-conformist my friend, non-conformists refuse to conform ever.

You could qualify, in my opinion, as someone that likes to complain about others not standing up for what they believe in and after the pep rally you go have a conformist sandwich. It's hypocritical and you lost a lot of respect from me.

Following a doctrine that has withstood the test of time is not conforming. And one (me) could argue that your "you're wrong" comments are your feeble attempt to get us to conform to your beliefs. The only problem I see, is no one has a clue what you believe, except that you believe we're all wrong.

You've been intentionally vague and refuse to put your beliefs out on the chopping block. It's a sly tactic, but it's gotten you ignored by many already and more are soon to follow.

I refuse to ignore you and I'll tell you why....I'm watching what message you give newcomers to our forum. You'll slip eventually. Non-conformists that conform on the turn of a dime always slip.
