• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

yes it was, I agree with you, the brief stint I spent in there was awful, there were some atheists who literally just camped out in there ready to attack Christians.

It's a pity they couldn't kick them out but somehow keep the board going.^_^
I think the exploring christianity (forum) option is much better. Atheists can ask questions about the faith not just attack us for the sake of fighting.

I think they could have, they just didn't.

Where did they all disappear off to? That board used to have the most posters of any on it.....(albeit the atheists were camped out round the clock on it ;))

And I just went and tried to find the friend who invited me to that forum Lisa0135, but she has disappeared, can't even send her a message....:sigh:

Did everyone just scatter or what?

:(

Did this great exodus happen before or after Erwin's unpopular changes?

There was something of a diaspora at that time, and another one when it was changed back. And another one when the site moved to its current format, dropping the custom legacy code and along with it much of the bling people loved. I don't have any numbers to know which was biggest.

I post on a few other sites where some of our former CF friends are still active, but I don't think I ought to post links here, both because it's probably against the rules and for the sake of their privacy. I will share if you PM me, but only with people I know and trust.

Well, I don't see much difference with that & what I see passed as
Christianity in other Theology areas right now.

As far as I'm concerned, they continue to have a voice here
in fighting anything biblically sound thru the ones who post as
Christians & support all kinds of perversions & immoralities as "Godly".
Christian spouse swapping, nudism, porn, adultery, fornication,
homosexuality, living together B4 marriage, abortion, etc. etc.
That's not including the doctrinal abyss where many reject
scripture authority as truth from God.

If you ask me, that's alot of why many Christians left also. The status of what
CF is defining as Christianity. Many left when Erwin's changes came.
Many took leaves of absence till the fires were put out everywhere...

Lots of changes kept people away too.
