did anyone ever date somebody related to the pastor at their church? My girlfriend's my pastor's neice, his wife is her dad's sister. and her dad preaches on ocassion and leads a college/young adult bible study. I think it helps in some instances, anyone else here have a similar experience?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Not really.
When I was in high school, I went to church camp, and we had a really great youth pastor. One year I was on a long bicycle trip and went through his town, so I stopped by. His daughter and I kind of hit it off, and spent an afternoon together.
When she found out I was on the wrestling team, she asked me to show her the basic moves. After hemming and hawing a little, I decided it would be OK.
The youth pastor was FURIOUS, I mean red-faced overly loud can't have a sane conversation furious. I never did figure out how to patch things up with him. Honestly, I haven't talked to him since, and this happened in the 1970s.
But this wasn't dating, it was all a lot more innocent than he imagined. Though she wasn't terribly good at wrestling ...
