Faith is a gift of God's grace. As to being "so sure you are right," I'll assume you mean right about God being real. Again, this is a product of His grace. We see the Truth of God's divine creatorship everyday in creation itself. The magnificence of creation could have never been an accident.

To deny the existence of God is a trait of the unregenerate because God has written the Truth of His existence on the hearts of all of creation so they are without excuse. Denying the sovereign God that you know to be a reality is the natural response of the unregenerate. It is God's gracious intervention that brings us in to a faithful relationship with Him.

Reformationist is right. The Bible says that everyone knows that there is a God deep down inside, and it takes effort to believe something different - exchanging the truth for a lie.
