Does it bother anyone else on this forum that the minute something starts getting controversial the moderators close and/or delete the thread?

I'm sure this thread will be closed or deleted as soon as its noticed.

Anybody know a forum where free speech is allowed? PM me....

Yes but this is not the forum to discuss that. of course, it'll get closed in the proper forum before people have had their say too.

I think the problem is not the controversy issue of threads, but that in many threads where controversial issues are being discussed, people tend to start attacking each other's opinions instead of trying to actually discuss the issue at hand.

If the thread doesn't conform to the rules members said they would honor, it should be no surprise that the thread gets shut down or removed.

As it happens, I am shutting this thread down, but not removing it.

Why?

Due to the OP not being a clear Ethics/Morality topic and policy/rules are discussed in another forum area.

Members are free to start OP's focused on such in that appropriate forum as long as the thread/post is within the policy/rules.
