We are all sinners - none of us have the ability to get into heaven on our own - Jesus Christ is the ONLY way and without Him as our personal Saviour, a person will go to hell when they die.

Romans 3:10 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:"
Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 10:9 & 10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
For anyone who would rather not believe in God - the Bible tells them exactly what they are:
Psalms 14:1 "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good."
My prayer is that you will trust Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour.

Can we ask first what your definition of "god" is? If you don't have one definition alone, then can you give us all of them? Thanks. After that then it should be alot easier for someone to answer your question.

God has ultimate authority. Therefore we must seek to know His will to be able to conform to Him will.
Establishing a relationship with God is therefore paramount to ones eternal existence with Him.

Same reason you should believe in the air... in solid ground... in anything else your life depends upon.
If you were God... and you created the entire universe... had the power to move galexies... and one of your creations didn't even believed you existed... How would you feel? Would you not feel justified squashing it for it's insubordination? You provided EVERYTHING in it's life and it is not only unthankful but doesn't even believe you're there. I'd be ****ed, I'll tell you that much.
Trick is... God (assuming he exists) can read your heart and mind... Go to church in blind faith and you might as well not even bother, God knows you don't believe.
It's not something you should force, nor is it anything anyone can force upon you. I believe all God asks, is for you to keep an open mind. He very well may exist. Accept that it's POSSIBLE... and I think that'd be a first step.
As far as "which one's right"... how do you know there are different ones? Who do you think enlightened Buddha? Man has created it's own pantheon of 'dieties'... ba'al, molach, fenrir, etc.... but they are a little different.

Hi Adstar. Thanks for the answer. No offence though, but I wanted to hear spiritshadow's definition. That way we can know who he thinks 'God' is or what he thinks God is, so we can understand his POV so we can help him out with the question. But thanks anyway.

Since there is only one God any other god would be a false god. Is God calling you? Do you hear Him calling you? Jesus Christ is God, and the only way to the Father. You should believe in God if He is calling you, ask Jesus into your life and believe in Him, believe that He was raised from the dead.spiritshadow said:

Once you have accepted him, build a relationship with God, dedicate your life to him, and he will reveal himself to you, and you will find that it's not a blind faith.

My definition of God is very difficalt to answer. I guess its that everyone has different ideas. and then the pretenders tell you there is no God.
I'm not a pretender, or trying to cause any form of trouble here. I don't understand your bible words. I know God is real. I just don't understand that there are so many different ideas of who he is.
I'm 19 years old and have only went to church on holidays. It'll all confusing to me!

I talked to a preacher today. I walked to the church and he showed me some bible words and told me about Jesus. He wanted me to pray but I couldn't. I thought I'd done something to bad to be ok to ... anyway
I prayed on the way home. not sure i did it right but I know i feel better.

Everyone born on this planet has done something bad some where in there lives, God came to save the Sinner, thats you and Me. He know you are not perfect, thats why Christ died for you. If we were all perfect then there would of been NO need for Christ to die. I do hope you find Christ, the blessing of having the Holy Spirit with you all the days of your life will help you in all of life's surprises, for there are many, and we need all the help we can get.
