If satan were to attempt to decieve the world would he use creation or evolution?

This can be answered a number of ways. I think the way we need to view this rather is how is Satan using creation vs evolution to deceive the world.

Through my posting on this forum, it is apparent that many, if not all, YECs have a passion for the Word of God. YECs take the Bible's teachings over what man teaches.

I am not trying to say anything about TEs at this point. What I see Satan doing in this debate, if you will, is using each side against each other. What I mean is that many spend more time arguing about this then by spreading the Gospel message. Secondly, look at how we treat each other for all non-believers to see. We aren't showing God's love in our actions on this forum very often.

I am not pointing figures at anyone, but rather at everyone. We all are at fault for this, YECs and TEs.

After being here for a while, I have not seen one TE change his/her beliefs on origins. I don't believe I ever will on this forum. This forum is not conducive for hearing what another person says and taking to heart. It is more conducive to encouraging us to be stubborn and closed minded. Why? Because we must uphold our end of the arguement so we can win the debate.

At what cost are we willing to sacrifice for the win? Not spreading the Gospel as much? Participating in insults, sarcasm and anything else that is un-Christ-like?

When we do, we are playing into Satan's hand.

You are definately onto something here. There have been numerous times when I have been engaged in a disagreement/debate with someone (not related to creation/evolution but any number of issues) and things got heated. Things would start to escalate and you get to that point where the other person is going to be wrong no matter how right they are because you are reacting rather than listening and thinking.

Then, it's like the Holy Spirit would ask me what was more important, to win the argument or show them love so I would drop the argument and apologize for being uncharitable and the effect it had was amazing. Not only did it disarm the argument and allow me to reach out to them on a deeper level with Christ's love but it allowed Christ to reach into me and soften my heart.

I like to think of this forum as a way to sharpen our evangelistic weapons for battling Satan in the real world. You're going to run into the same type of people in your own community and they will have various backgrounds and worldviews. The best way to fight the enemy is to know his tactics and weapons.

With the armor of God, we can deflect the attacks and negative aspects of this medium and hold tight to what we learn and use it for the glory of God.

I think that debate which causes us to look into the Word of God for strength and rebuttal has to be a good thing.

In response to the OP - It was thru the debate of Creation vs. Evolution that caused me to investigate the claims and assumptions of each and what eventually lead me to Christ. If Satan is using this debate, he lost one here.
