i have 2 questions 1 can someone explain to me what this is i dont understand it

24. Christ's Ministry in the Heavenly Sanctuary:
There is a sanctuary in heaven, the true tabernacle which the Lord set up and not man. In it Christ ministers on our behalf, making available to believers the benefits of His atoning sacrifice offered once for all on the cross. He was inaugurated as our great High Priest and began His intercessory ministry at the time of His ascension. In 1844, at the end of the prophetic period of 2300 days, He entered the second and last phase of His atoning ministry. It is a work of investigative judgment which is part of the ultimate disposition of all sin, typified by the cleansing of the ancient Hebrew sanctuary on the Day of Atonement. In that typical service the sanctuary was cleansed with the blood of animal sacrifices, but the heavenly things are purified with the perfect sacrifice of the blood of Jesus. The investigative judgment reveals to heavenly intelligences who among the dead are asleep in Christ and therefore, in Him, are deemed worthy to have part in the first resurrection. It also makes manifest who among the living are abiding in Christ, keeping the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, and in Him, therefore, are ready for translation into His everlasting kingdom. This judgment vindicates the justice of God in saving those who believe in Jesus. It declares that those who have remained loyal to God shall receive the kingdom. The completion of this ministry of Christ will mark the close of human probation before the Second Advent. (Heb. 8:1-5; 4:14-16; 9:11-28; 10:19-22; 1:3; 2:16, 17; Dan. 7:9-27; 8:13, 14; 9:24-27; Num. 14:34; Eze. 4:6; Lev. 16; Rev. 14:6, 7; 20:12; 14:12; 22:12.)

and do adventis beileve in the rapture and tribulation? or is it like this adventis beleves in it but this one doesnt also it sounds like that adventis dont beileve ppl that dont go to hell until the judgement is that true? If it is i disagree with it but i agree with every thing else (exept 24 i dont understand it) can i be a adventis if i beleve in hell before the judgement?

There is no Hell per say. Read Revelations It talks about a second death. All the world will be judged at the end times. Those with the Seal of God will become HIS servants and those with the mark of the beast will be thrown into the lake of fire and brimestone. This idea of fire and brimstone is probably taken out of context and made literal to scare the little 1's not to sin " or else! God Bless.

We believe there will be no "secret" rapture. The end time tribulation will take place together with the rapture. I believe it will all take place in unison. Some people believe that the 1000 year tribulation is already in the works. You can chose to believe what you want as long it hold to bible doctrines. I can google some links to this but i feel long wody posts are boring.

We believe that Jesus will descend from heaven with TRUMPETS, and many, many angels shouting. There will be no silent rapture...there is NOTHING in scripture to back up one. I know, I was raised baptist and taught that this is what would happen. One day I might be standing by my neighbor, and poof they might be gone, or poof I might be gone. That's a fairy tale, and I don't really know where it came from.

If you mean by tribulation, that during this "hard time", people will have a second chance to go to God if they don't take the mark of the beast...then NO, we don't believe in that.

The bible makes it clear that probation ends upon Christ's return for us. He first calls to the righteous dead, and they will rise to meet Him in the sky. Next the righteous living will ascend to Him. This is in revelations, CLEAR as the nose on people's faces. Yet they still cling to going to heaven or hell upon their death. If we all go one place or another, then pray tell just WHO are those people rising from their graves to meet Him, Huh? That's all I want to know. lol

When we die, we go to sleep, the bible references that NUMEROUS TIMES. Whenever Jesus brought someone back to life, did He say, "Lazarus, I know you are loving heaven, but you HAVE to come back DOWN here!" No, He said, "Lazarus, rise" which is what He said on every occasion...He told them all to RISE. And remember, Lazarus had been in the grave 4 days.

There are no second chances. We are in the middle of what second chance we have. We are either righteous when He comes and we ascend to Him in the sky, or we are doomed.

Study the bible, REALLY study it. Don't just flip through it, or take some pastor/preacher/minister/or priest's word for what it says. When I learned HOW to study the bible, that is when I learned how misled I had been.

Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in your study. It will all become clear and you will go  "how could I NOT have seen this before?" There should be a palm print in the middle of MY forehead from the many times I smacked myself in the head. It's not brain surgery or rocket science. It's really quite simple once one understands.

If you don't believe in the 28 fundamental beliefs of the Adventist church, then I would say "no, you couldn't join the church". However, that doesn't stop one from attending, and taking their time to decide if this would be right for them or not.

Sabbath school is AWESOME. Great bible study. One can learn a lot just from attending Sabbath School.

I attended for a few months before I made the decision to join, even though I felt sure in my heart, almost right away that this was what I wanted to do. My point being that no one will pressure you to join, that would be totally up to the individual.

I forgot #24. Sorry. All of that simply means that Christ is in the Heavenly Sanctuary, and He's busy cleaning it out. Once He is done He is coming back for us, and as it states, upon His return for us...PROBATION IS CLOSED.

Everyone must prepare now for His return. You are either going to be righteous or you're going to be wicked, destroyed by His brightness. The time is quickly approaching where we will have to stand up for God, have His seal, or take the mark of the beast.

Just remember, there are no second chances. If you don't go with Him the first time, you won't be going. The bible is VERY clear on that.

im sory if i make u reapete ur self i just need to be sure.so u beleve that the 7 year tibulation wont happen it will be the raputre and thats it and if so what about the prophescies of revolation and daniel and can u explain the heavelny sanctuary

I don't mind your questions at all. It is however, getting late, and I'm not as UP on the Heavenly Sanctuary as more experienced SDA's (been one longer than I) and they can do and will be glad to help you understand it, much better than I.

The Lord protects His people through tribulations, He doesn't sequester them from them. No, I don't believe in any 7 year tribulation of horrible bad times, in which those left here will have an opportunity to struggle through the bad times without taking the mark of the beast, and thusly winning themselves a place in Heaven. No, the bible is very clear. When Jesus returns for us...probation is OVER.

I leave the Heavenly Sanctuary to those more versed in that than I.

Honor, Jonathan? SOMEONE help her understand the Heavenly Sanctuary more clearly?

God Bless you, reg.

yah what she just typed Thanks Sassy you are awesome....

Thank you very much. Though, as I told her, I'm not as UP on the Heavenly Sanctuary as some of the rest of you might be, who've been Adventist longer than I. I know what it is, and who is in there, but any further explanation eludes me...possibly because the hour is getting late.

I will be heading for bed soon.....

God Bless you and yours, Jon:angel:

No, they are not just my own. I know where people get the 7 year tribulation from, but their interpretation of that scripture is in error. It comes out of Daniel, if I am not mistaken. One of the problems is it doesn't hold up in Revelations.

Ok, you only heard of "rapture", and just what did "rapture" mean to you? What were you told would happen at the rapture?

reg,

I think http://www.prophecycode.com would be a great site for you to check out. There you can watch, listen or read seminars run by Doug Batchelor who is an Adventist Evangelist.

(I just listened to it online and it was pretty dodgy quality but that is quite possibly my connection)

The second seminar is about "Revelation's Rapture"

Hope you find the site useful!
