I didn't miss it. I'm asking why you believe drinking any alcohol is sinful for you, when the Bible doesn't hold you to that standard, and when you don't get drunk, and when you don't seem to use drinking as a crutch, and you are over the legal drinking age.I think you missed the part when I said "for me" a personal conviction. I never said the bible said drinking is 100% a sin.
so even if my ultimate goal is to be free from it and not do it forever and i stay repentant during my struggles its still not me getting real forgiveness?"For him who knows what to do (or not do), and he continues disobeying anyway, for him it is sin"
i.e. It is not repentance.
"Without repentance is no forgiveness of sin." (asking forgiveness while continuing to sin is vain and empty, without any good effect and without forgiveness)
You did not say "stay repentant" earlier.so even if my ultimate goal is to be free from it and not do it forever and i stay repentant during my struggles its still not me getting real forgiveness?
You did not say "stay repentant" earlier.
If you do as you said earlier, it is not only not "staying repentant", it is not repentance at all.
Realize repentance is not a feeling nor an emotion. (Neither is Yahweh's Love, btw).
Repentance means turn to Yahweh, STOP (not continue) sinning.
And all the angels in heaven REJOICE OVER ONE SINNER brought to eternal life !lots to say about drunkards in scripture. Me I was a drunkard used to loved to drink, God has taken away all desire from me to drink now. Praise the Lord. When I bring this scripture up to my freinds the first thing they want to do is define a drunkard. Shouldn't the first thing we want to do is please our heavenly father!! no good comes from drinking, God can free you from your desire to drink if you let him, Love God more then anything else in the world and he will change you.
Better to ask Yahweh (God) for deliverance/ healing as well as to repent (STOP SINNING)so the people that struggle with addiction arent getting forgiveness, even though they know its wrong but its hard to stop, yet ask god to forgive them?
I DID SAY staying repentent, this is what i said (first line)
"If I live in repentance yet I know what im doing is sin
i know there is a bible verse hebrews 10:26 says if we keep sinning purposely we lose salvation or something
so if i drink alcohol and do feel its wrong but want to quit but keep drinking will i lose my salvation because im going against conviction? or will the lord punish me
please honest help and answers
then it makes me think do i only feel weird because i grew up in a home against booze? or is it conviction from Holy Spirit
so even if my ultimate goal is to be free from it and not do it forever and i stay repentant during my struggles its still not me getting real forgiveness?

I was a big drinker. Even as a Christian. I tried and tried to give up, and eventually stopped altogether. Ironically, I haven’t missed it, but guess what? I have an issue with gluttony now! I try to fast, but by evening, I cave.
I always disdained fat people, thinking they were so weak. I was surrounded by people with eating disorders and used to think ‘get a grip, Just stop stuffing your face’!
Now I’m about 50 lbs overweight! I suppose i replaced drunkenness (and nicotine) with gluttony. I loath myself like this. Serves me right for judging fat people.
