The Orthodox believe absolutely in the bread and wine becoming Christ's body and blood, by the power of the Holy Spirit. We just don't try to explain it - which is basically what the doctrine of Transubstantiation is, an explanation of something we are content to call a Holy Mystery.

Thanks for the clarification! Mystery is good...I've heard it's the western mind that demands articulate explanations for the inexplicable...
