Would you ever or have you ever asked a guy to date you? I personally am going to wait for the guy to ask me - I know it's more old-fashioned but I like that

I've never done it either. I don't think I will though, simply because I'd want them to ask me out first tbh. Same reason as yall cited lol...I'm rather old fashioned. I think I'd be too shy anyway...:o

I nearly asked a guy out once, we were alone but i bottled it, and i'm glad i did now!

I would definitly ask him to hang out...it all starts from there then if he's interested in hanging out some more he can call me and we go from there...I see no problem in inviting to go have fun...now if you mean as in asking to be my boyfriend no I don't do that, that's his job...

umm I don't know what this has to do with the topic.
Not knowing you or what you meant by this, it does come across rude whether you meant it or not. Looks are not everything but are one of the things we look for.
It surprising sometimes how guys/gals has certain requirements on their list but they don't have the same qualities they expect from the other gender.

I once asked a guy that I liked if he wanted to join me and some friends at a concert. He turned me down. :-( I think he was very shy and liked me as a friend and was probably afraid that I'd take a 'yes' to mean he might be more interested in me.

Since I'm fat and ugly I know I'll be rejected if I ask someone out. So I guess I'll just wait for them to ask me out.
