Hmmm, I guess I look for-

Someone generally rational
Not controlling
Similiar personality(i.e, a big picture person, doesn't expect me to always talk/carry a conversation)
Let's me have my own interests
Is a Christian, and will help me improve in areas where I'm weak in the Faith
Very affectionant
Good hygiene, healthy

Is it possible to find someone with all these things? I don't know

Ironically enough, one of my female co-workers asked a bunch of us guys the same thing today at work! : )

When it comes to a girl (and keep in mind this is just in the eyes of one person aka little old me) I think it is important to be well rounded. Faith of course is super important, as is the connection you feel for each other. As far as looks go, yes, they can play a part to some degree, but for me it is mostly "does this person keep in shape, or have they let themselves go?"

I've always wanted to ask this question. So, what do you look for in a girl? Apperance/personality/ect?
Also, I have a habit of blushing pretty strong when a guy first approaches me or asks me out. (Sometimes when I run into him somewhere unexpextedly) It tends to fade after a few minutes, but it is so embarassing ar my age and I just wondered if it was a turn off to guys. Be honest!

Blind post. Appearances are definitely the thing that's important right off the bat; if there's no physical attraction whatsoever, then it just isn't going to happen. I'm not expecting some unearthly beauty, but being "easy on the eyes" isn't asking for too much.

After the initial physical attraction, it all comes down to who they are, what they're doing with their life, etc.

I don't think being a bit shy is a turn-off (honestly, who isn't?), unless you're failing to communicate your feelings to the guy. If he doesn't know you're attracted as well, he might write you off and go about his day.

Obviously what initially strikes is the physical appearance, but I usually look for more than that, because external beauty fades over the years, I just look for a trustworthy person, honest and respectful.
