I have a question for those that do not believe the Adventist narrative of last day events...

If, for arguments sake, the US starts going down the road of legislating morality, even to the point of compelling Sunday observance, would you reconsider your opposition to the Adventist message? Or would you suppose it a coincidence and continue believing as you do?

I am just curious if your disdain for sister Whites writings are so entrenched that no amount of fulfillment of what she wrote would sway you.

LOL. You're kidding right? You must be young. We had Sunday laws in this country, and they have all, for the most part, now been rejected. If THAT is the direction you see this country moving in, then you are really not paying attention at all.

I understand that you think the notion of a sunday law to be absurd... most non Adventists do.

What I'm asking is, what would you think if it started to happen? There are sunday rest alliances both in the EU and the west that are actively lobbying for a legislated day of rest so it is not such a far fetched idea. The europeans are framing it as a needed family day... the current pope also has endorsed a need to return to sunday as a day of rest.

Like I said, it was already tried and rejected. It will never happen again in this country....we are becoming more secular, not less, as is the whole free world.

Have the "sunday rest alliances both in the EU and the west" advocated total elimination of all work on Sunday? Who cares? Would that preclude you resting on Saturday?

Just try telling NFL fans and NASCAR fans they have to change their day of choice. :p
