This quote may have been wrongly used. It is not talking about the establishment but about faithful souls.

One statement explains another. "The church is God's fortress, His city of refuge, which He holds in a revolted world." A.A.11.

"The soul that is yielded to Christ becomes God's fortress which He holds in a revolted world and He intends that no authority shall be known in it but His own." D.A.324.

"From the beginning, faithful souls have constituted the church on earth." A.A.11.

"The church of Christ, every individual disciple of the Master is heaven's appointed channel for the revelation of God to man." M.B.40.

So what is the church?

Of course there is the official church with a name and organization but only those within the ranks who are sealed with the Holy Spirit through the faith that lays right hold upon the merits of a crucified and risen Saviour are God's fortress which He holds in a revolted world. These alone constitute the church on earth.

The quote is a general one and we have already established that writers in the 19th century borrowed from each other as it suited the message they were trying to convey and was acceptable behaviour for the day.

Now I was just wondering...

cause David was so proud of his book so I wanted to ask him this 'public'question, but all I got were answers from people who werent meant to answer that one..

that was my impression, didnt it make you proud? I mean having crafted such an amazing work... not just a little? In case you werent proud of it, I apologize for having misrepresented you and even spread a lie, such a thing shouldnt be the case... hope you accept my apology and bear no grudge

Nope, not even a little. I don't even think like that.

To add on to it: if you combined all of the work on this subject by all of the critics in the past 30 years, you'll find that I have done more in-depth work and have the evidence to back it up than all of them combined. To some that would be a boast. It is a simple statment of fact and quite frankly I'm dumbfounded and shocked about it! This isn't a simple ostrich with his head in the sand syndrome--this is downright refusal to look at the evidence!
