In short, It's the 1000 year reign of Christ as King in Jerusalem as the promised heir to David's throne...
Act 2:29-36 KJV
(29) Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
(30) Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
(31) He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
(32) This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
(33) Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
(34) For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
(35) Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
(36) Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
...only then will the nation of Israel will finally inhabit ALL of the promised land...
Gen 15:18 KJV
(18) In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

What will it be like?,,,,,,, The Garden of Eden. People will live to be 900 y/o, Lions will eat grass and little children will go on Lion rides..

Does that help?

^^^ yes very much, but will it just be those who are saved, or everyone?
This is were it gets tricky...

Those that make it through the great tribulation will enter into the kingdom... some as "guests" and some as "overcomers"... Simply being "saved" (during the tribulation) does not give you entrance into that kingdom, You must forsake this life and suffer until the end.

...those who "earn" their way into the kingdom through the great tribulation will be allowed to enter into it...

I'm not 100% sure on how our hope and calling today fits into the millenial kingdom, the bible is very clear on this topic. I do not think, we today, will have a physical part in the earthly kingdom.

Crystal, I can recommend a book to you, The Meaning of the Millennium. This is one of those excellent "four views" books that a couple of christian publishers have produced. I, like many, if not most, Anabaptists, am an amillennialist according to the descriptions in this book.

An amillennialist either does not believe in a literal 1000-year messianic reign or is an agnostic WRT eschatological opinions. (By agnostic in this context, I do not mean someone who does not know whether God exists, but someone who does not know whether Bible prophecies require anything else to happen before Christ's return and the final judgment.) Christians have held a variety of opinions about this throughout Christian history. Some believe there will be a 1000-year period in the future during which Christ will reign before the final eschaton. Others do not.

Personally, I can't be adamant one way or the other.
