There is a part of me that wants to say: As a Christian, I of course, know the answer to everything because I have the bible. Indeed, I don't even need maps but simply take my bible to find out the way to the mall: "For they shall come out of north" - ah ha! Go North.
Rather I feel it is our duty as Christians to question everything. God did give us minds after all. Some see the fact that God gave us the bible as a sort of "General Answer book" which means, I only have to know the right answer. While others see the bible as a book which challenges us to learn and know about the humans we have be charged to love REGARDLESS of behaviour - that as Christ, I believe we are called to love ALL people and it is hard to know them, if I don't find out about them, challenge my assumptions or try to understand how they see things. That includes the science and academia. Why would you want to miss out on challanging and growing in the diversity of God as represented in all people and things?
