Are the assumptions of a reformational worldview as opposed to an Arminian worldview, and the assumptions of an Arminian worldview as opposed to a reformational worldview so deeply embedded into the psyche of those who hold to their specific positions that it becomes a logical, rational and even Scriptural log-jam?
I have been having some discussion with an Arminian friend and it seems as though it matters not what the logic of my argument may be or even what Scriptures I bring to the table, that we are at an impasse. When I even bring up Ephesians, Chapter 1, the response is, "well I guess that I read that differently than you do!"
How in the name of Pete does one read Ephesians 1 "differently?"
signed,
frustrated
