Question about the Pope

Cause there is no way Notre Dame should be ranked number 10 in the AP College Football poll...

I *dislike* Notre Dame as much as you do, but Brady Quinn is amazing and they did beat the number 3 ranked team.

I don't dislike them at all - I think Charlie Wiese (sp?) is a genious. I just think its a stretch for them to be in the top 10 this early in the season. I say the same thing about FSU.

BTW - Michigan was unimpressive in week one - they are going to get walked on all season.

Can't stand Notre Dame. At least my Oregon State Beavers beat them in the Fiesta Bowl!
Anyway, Notre Dame seems to always be a favorite among the polls. We'll find out if they deserve that #10 rating.

Even when my Dad was Roman Catholic he detested Notre Dame (Our Lady in Englsih). He always thought they were ranked higher than they should be.

He also thought the SEC did not get a fair shack in the polls.

They get so much TV time that they get noticed. That's the only reason I can see that they do so well in coaches polls, not to mention the recruiting. I have a problem with any rankings given before the season starts anyway. Let them get 2-3 games done, then begin the ranking. If some team was vastly improved, but was unranked because they had bonehead seniors last year, it is unlikely they could play for the championship at the end even if they won all of their games.

I used to fence against Notre Dame. (long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....)

They presented themselves as some of the most stuck-up individuals I'd ever met.

Strangely enough their coach was one of the best......
