When one graduates from a Christian seminary, is that person automatically an ordained minister, or is there more that needs to be done?

Seminary graduation does not make you automatically an ordained minister. Depending on the denomination, there is usually an intermediate step or two (usually happening around the same time as graduation) that finishes the process. In most denominations, it's generally the graduate's being called to their first pastorate before ordination is given. In Methodist and perhaps Anglican churches, the graduate is on a probationary level serving an assignment as a pastor for a couple of years before full ordination is granted.
