  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

High, there is a website that I am curious if any of you have heard of. Ummm... this is hard. LOL.. I can't post the website. The name of it is NOT voice of the martyrs. It is from international Christian Concern. They offer internships. My friend is intersted in working with them. I have heard of them, but don't know much about them. I am curious if you know if they are legit. I was surprized to see that VOM did not seem to be affiliated with them. Open Doors does not seem to be affiliated with them. The website is www.persecution.org. ICC is one of many worthy organisations serving persecuted Christians around the world. Others include, as you have mentioned, Voice of the Martyrs and Open Doors. But don't forget The Bible League, Christian Solidarity, Compass Direct, Tears of the Oppressed, Mission Outreach, Barnabus Fund, Christian Monitor, as well as the regional organisations such as Middle East Concern, Free Burma Rangers, Indian Inland Mission, Gospel for Asia, etc.

If your friend is interested in serving the persecuted church, I imagine an internship with ICC would be a really valuable and inspiring experience.
