Public school is still school, it isn't of lesser importance... the Lord desires His children to be young ladies and young men who will honor Him...he don't want us setting bad examples whether we be in public school, college, at work, around our friends...we are to have integrity.
Stop cheating/ stealing/being deceptive-- repent of that and study for tests.
If you need help, then ask about getting someone to tutor you in the courses that are problematic... also seek someone to mentor you spiritually.
The cycle of cheating/ stealing/being deceptive needs to be
nipped in the bud asap!

Why doesn't the teacher think of his/her own questions?
Are the answers also given with the questions in a test bank?
A classmate bought it off some website. I'm not exactly sure which site they got it from but apparently the site got shut down shortly after they purchased it. The teacher never warned about using test banks.What I'm finding is that test banks are from a publisher of a book.
Only schools and teachers are supposed to have them for the current study
material for a class. There must be proof to the publisher that a person is a teacher. Did also find where maybe a library can have access to ones for older textbooks. The test banks are copyright type of helps for teachers that
are found...sometimes sold on the internet, but are not legal for students to have. Did the teachers warn against using them for study? You need to tell
your parents before you tell anyone else about using one.
Hello, this is my first post on this forum so please forgive me if I format poorly. I truly don't know what to do here. To give you context, I am 18 and about to finish highschool. I have cheated plenty of times in the past whether it be a copied assignment here or a formula that was punched in my calculator before a quiz. Upon coming back to my faith (3-4 months ago) I haven't cheated much at all but I can't help feeling overwhelming guilt over cheating as if my diploma I will soon be handed has been tainted. I feel that if I accept this diploma and move onto college I will lie to everyone. I will lie to my highschool that I earned my grades. I will lie to my college that I earned my highschool graduation, and I will lie to my future employer that I was rightfully admitted into college. Seems like the only option is to drop out?? It seems too extreme but at the same time could be what I am called to do. I saw a similar post about this topic about a fellow who was feeling bad about cheating in college and someone responded with
You are committing willful sin, cheating, lying, stealing, having someone else lie for you and worst of all, praying to God, you are not a doctor or a heart specialist. You should stand up, and you did not earn your degree. You are well aware of it, and you want the Christians to feel sorry for you and sing Kumbaya, you need to not graduate. It is a lie. You have continued in this sin, from high school. I do not feel your sorrow. I hear your excuses and you wanting to get validated, to ease your conscience. When you go for a job interview, the lies will continue. Where does it end. True Repentance, is not only confession of sin, but restoration of the stolen property. God is present in all these actions, and Christ is being shamed. Free yourself, by speaking the truth. Your whole life will be made much better, and you will have a testimony, for other kids. Be a radical for Christ. The fact that the Holy Spirit is convicting you and you did not remedy the situation, is the reason for your guilty conscience and lack lustre feeling. A Christian always acts on Conviction from the Holy Spirit, or else he will not continue to dwell in a willfull sinning and not repenting fully. Then you would be left up to the error of you ways and the consequences of your actions. What does it profit one, to gain the whole world and their soul is not right with Almighty God. One lie continues from High School then college. I hope you see the pattern here. It is not too late to make things right. Your choice."
This seems very harsh but I was wondering if it holds truth or not. At first I was sure I had to drop out but I'm sure I was dishonest at times in middle school, by this logic I would have to deny the dact that I was educated up to 8th grade! My parents and peers would be very surprised and upset with me if I gave it all up and even my christian brother who I have confided in says to just keep going and that I have been made clean by the blood of Jesus and not cheat again. I am at a loss guys. Please help a fellow christian brother for I have already cried out to Jesus and prayer and asked for forgiveness and guidance and now I call to all of you

I don't think i'm in need of professional help to get it under control because I don't think it will be hard to just stop cheating right now. As a fellow Christian, but also as a former student and teacher, my view is that you should keep it to yourself so you don't damage your already tenuous future (i.e. a future that is being set up for major failure by your persistent lack of integrity and effort).
But, here's the caveat in what I'm saying here: you should keep it to yourself, but if you want to be a Christian, you really, really need to get your tendency to 'lie and cheat' under control. Maybe, you need some professional counseling.
The other caveat is this: if you go to the university or college, don't be under the impression that the logistics of the program will allow you to lie and cheat as you did in high school. Typically, the faculity, administration, and the infrastructure is programed and placed such that...you will very sooner or later--if not sooner--get caught, and you will be either put under administrative penalties or outright flunked, with a capital 'F.' So, whatever you got away with in high school, don't go thinking that the faculty and the corporate set up in the universities will be just as open to being duped. No, it will be you who gets the surprise when they slap your little wrist and alleviate you of your opportunity at that college or university.
Moreover, when you get out into the working world, most major corporations have the programs and technology in place to basically watch most of what your doing...like Big Brother. So, if you still cheat or lie in your occupation, you're going to find yourself going nowhere very fast.
Just sayin'. There's no time like the present to get right with Jesus and work on getting your bad habits under control so as not to derail your future.

You have to realize that I didn't know anything at all. All I knew was that someone my friend knew bought the test bank online and that if I wanted an easy grade on the tests then I could study off them. 150 questions on the bank and 50 would be on the actual test. I wasn't memorizing A B D C I was memorizing the actual content of the questions.If you knew test banks are only for teachers that contact somehow
a publisher, then you knew it was not legal or at least wrong to a huge
degree. To me, looking at that test bank was no different than swiping a copy
of the test/s. You need to tell your parents. Also, see you started a new thread. We want to help you think things through as to what steps you should
take to clear your conscience. Lighten the load on it some. We needed to get more of your situation detailed to us to help us get a better picture of what
you are dealing with in school.

If you lie and cheat in even just one class at the university level, depending on the egregious level of the offense, it could affect your ENTIRE opportunity at that university, not just for that 'one' class like it did in high school. I'm just giving you a heads up.
Notice too, I didn't suggest that you should go tell everyone about your missteps in high school. Just don't ruin your future, dude.

I guess I'll just not use the banks anymore and not cheat ever again and move,onWell, I'd say that you're interpretation of that verse is probably not as academically well-placed as it should be. God does expect you to be productive and useful in this life He's given you, both for yourself and for your possible wife and kids, and maybe neighbors.
