I have an assignment for philosophy and 2 of the questions have me stumpted.....
1. Explain Simmias' and Cebes' objection to Socrates' initial claim about the immortality of the soul. How does Socrates respond to these objections? What does Socrates first warn us about any argument concerning the immortality of the soul?
and
2. Explain Aristotles concepts of substance, form/matter and actuality/potentiality. How do these concepts, along with the concept of entelechy, explain why it is possible to have knowledge of the natural world?
Anyone have some insight on these?
